Somayeh Allahyari

Somayye was born in a snowy day in February of 1983 in Abhar. She graduated from primary and guidance school in the same town. She was very successful in scientific, art and Qoran festivals. Her family moved to Qom and she continued her high school studies in Qom. She entered Sharif University of technology in 2001 in chemical engineering field. She continued master of science degree in Sahand university of technology in thermo kinetic branch and she defended her thesis about sonochemically synthesis of nano catalysts after two years. In 2006 she married with her classmate Nader Rahemi. She entered Ph. D period in 2008 and studies about microreactors and their application in these days.

Thesis title:           Synthesis of Nanostructured Catalysts for Conversion of Syngas to Dimethyl Ether in a Microreactor

Thesis abstract:

In accordance with the term “microsystem”, which is widely accepted, microreactors usually are defined as miniaturized reaction systems fabricated by using, at least partially, methods of microtechnology and precision engineering. The characteristic dimensions of the internal structures of microreactors like fluid channels typically range from the submicrometer to the sub-millimeter range. Potential Benefits of Microreactors are: Replacing a batch by a continuous process, Intensification of processing, Safety issues, Change of product properties, Distributed production, Faster transfer of research results into production, Earlier start of production at lower costs, Easier scale-up of production capacity, Smaller plant size for distributed production, Lower costs for transportation, materials and energy, More flexible response to market demands.
